Q: Is it possible to re-charge the Cellboost unit itself?
A: No. This is what makes it unique, and frees you from re-charging systems and electrical outlets that may not be available in an emergency. Cellboost is disposable, like any standard battery, and is not designed for re-charging. However, you can use it as many times as needed until it runs out of juice.
Q: Is there anything special I need to know about connecting Cellboost to my portable devices?
A: Cellboost units are designed to interface with all popular brands of mobile phones, camcorders, iPod and iPod mini, Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advanced SP, each with a color coded plastic cap for quick identification. Choose the unit designated for your portable device or it will not connect. Do not leave Cellboost connected when it is no longer charging.
Q: What is the actual size of a Cellboost?
A: Cellboost for mobile phones is smaller than a business card, and about the thickness of a pencil: Cellboost is 1.25" wide, 2.5" high, and .45" thick, and weighs only 1.2 oz. New Cellboost products vary in size and weight. However, they were designed with portability and convenience in mind so you can take Cellboost power anytime, anywhere.
Q: Can Cellboost damage my portable device re-chargeable battery?
A: No. Damage to re-chargeable batteries is caused by overheating during re-charging. Cellboost does not overheat because it delivers between 4-6 volts of power, about the same as a conventional re-charging system.
Q: Is it okay to dispose of Cellboost with normal waste?
A: Disposing of Cellboost is no different than disposing of any conventional alkaline battery. It is perfectly safe and acceptable to dispose of it in your normal household waste.
